Residents and guests at a sheltered housing complex in Hethersett turned back the clock almost 80 years for a special day of 1940s nostalgia.
Woodcote in Firs Road hosted the day as a way of raising money for the Hethersett Dementia Group, Hethersett Surgery and Woodcote Social Club. Singer Kitty Collins entertained through the day with songs from the Second World War and others made famous in the 1940s and a number of guests took the opportunity to dress in vintage clothes from the period.
There were a number of military vehicles on show and home-made cakes and refreshments.
Young and old visitors alike also entertained themselves by playing games popular in the 1940s, including bagatelle and hook-a-duck. Proceeds from the day are to split between the three groups.
