More than 250 people of all ages took part in the eighth annual Hethersett Fun Run.
The youngest contestant was aged two and the oldest 76 - and everyone once again finished the course, which took in a two-mile square along closed roads that included Queen's Road, Great Melton Road, Mill Road, New Road and Old Norwich Road, starting and finishing outside Hethersett Junior School
First home was Alistair Shearer in a time of 10mins 57 secs.
Mr Shearer has only lived in the village since April and saw the run advertised in a local shop.
'Unfortunately the first two runners home were denied a grandstand finish by two selfish car drivers who insisted on their right to drive down the roads which were legally closed,' said organiser Shane Hull.
Despite this it was another successful event for the run, which is organised through the auspices of Hethersett and the Meltons' Sports Association and which is part of the village's Olympic Legacy going back to 2010.
A number of runners wore fancy dress and winner of the best costume was Jessica Pullinger dressed as a monkey.
For the first time this year, the run culminated in a family fun day at Rowan House Well Being Centre and Hethersett Social Club where there were raffles, tombolas, competitions, barbecues and a number of 'come and try' health sessions.
The pre-run warm up was led by Norfolk Olympian Paul Evans and a number of marshals from the village and Crusaders Rugby Club ensured the runners finished safely.
