A 10-month-old black and white cocker spaniel bitch named Dolly and seven puppies were taken from a property in Winch Road between 1am and 1.45am.
The puppies are seven-weeks-old and are described as a black dog, golden dog, chocolate and white dog, black and tan dog, black and white bitch, chocolate bitch and a cinnamon and white bitch.
Police would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen a small dark coloured hatchback car which was seen in the area around the time of the theft or from anyone who may have been offered the dogs for sale.
