The GP Practice in Taverham has been rated as good by the health and care regulator, the Care Quality Commission.

And the doctors at Taverham surgery have paid tribute to all of the staff for working hard to ensure the practice is good for patients and good for the CQC.

Dr Henry Kaszubowski, a partner at Taverham Partnership, said: 'Of course we are delighted the CQC has visited us and concluded the services we offer patients are safe, caring and well led.

'We would like to thank all of the staff who have worked so hard to ensure we meet the very high standards expected of us.'

Key findings highlighted by the CQC included that the system for reporting, recording and learning from significant events had improved, there was an infection prevention and control audit in place with associated action plan and that the system for identifying patients and the coding of their medical records, particularly those with diabetes, had been reviewed.

Taverham Partnership has more than 8,600 patients.

The CQC inspection followed up on a previous inspection in April in which they rated the surgery as requires improvement.
