A voluntary-led breastfeeding café and clinic run by mums and professionals is opening soon in Holt.
Three local mums have identified the lack of services for breastfeeding families in north Norfolk and are taking the lead by filling the gap themselves.
The café, called Latched On, will be held in the adult day care centre on Charles Road and will be voluntarily run by lactation consultant, Florence Crawley, early years practitioner, Joanna Hutchinson and project administrator, Ella Brenchley.
Running costs for the first year of the café including rent, props and refreshments are estimated to be around £1,780.
And a fundraising jumble and cake sale will take place at the centre on Saturday, October 21, 11am to 2pm. Once funds are raised, the café aims to offer a safe, secure, nurturing and free space for women and families. To find out more, email the team at latchedonholt@gmail.com
