Norwich City Hall is to be illuminated blue and orange to mark Global Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Awareness Day on Thursday.
The Lord Mayor of Norwich and members of Norwich City Council (NCC) will be attending the event.
Sally Light, chief executive of the MND Association, said: 'It is essential that we raise awareness of MND so people understand what a devastating disease it is. Together we can make a real difference for people affected by MND and we are grateful for the amazing support of our volunteers.'
The awareness day on June 21 will mark one year since NCC began supporting the MND Charter.
MND is a fatal rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, attacking the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work.
The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning.
