Lisa Christensen, who led the county council's children's services department from 2005 to 2013 and was previously director of social services, started her new role at the beginning of this month.

Amanda Reynolds, who has spent 28 years leading and managing health and social care services and lives in Norwich, has also become a non executive director.

She is acting as a NED designate until she becomes a full board member, with voting rights, in January.

Ms Christensen, who lives in Mattishall and previously spent eight years working in various NHS organisations, said: 'I have huge respect for the staff who deliver health services in the community, and it will be a privilege to be able to support them to do a good job for the many people in Norfolk who need their services.'
