Praise has been given to The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) for its high standards of efficiency after being shortlisted for a national award.
NNUH is in the running to win the healthcare efficiency award at the CHKS Top Hospitals programme awards 2018.
The Top Hospitals awards, held on May 15 in London, celebrate the success of healthcare providers across the UK and are awarded to organisations for their achievements in healthcare quality and improvement.
CHKS, part of Capita Healthcare Decisions, analysed hospital data over the last year including rate of emergency readmissions, average length of stay, delayed discharge and weekend discharge rate.
Mark Davies, NNUH Chief Executive, said: 'We are proud to be one of the most efficient teaching hospitals in the country and we continue to innovate and develop to improve patient care.'
