The chairman of the county's health watchdog has announced he will be stepping down this summer after five years in the position.
Healthwatch Norfolk said its chairman William Armstrong OBE has played a lead role in giving the public an independent voice in the region's health and social care services since its inception in 2013.
Mr Armstrong, 72, a former county coroner and sheriff of Norwich, is giving up a number of public engagements to focus on being a husband and grandfather.
He said: 'It has been an enormous honour to have led Healthwatch during its formative years and I am deeply grateful for the support I have received from my fellow trustees, dedicated and enthusiastic staff, many volunteers and a whole range of stakeholders from the statutory and voluntary sectors.'
