The hosptial in King's Lynn is to hold a practice fire evacuation exercise next Thursday.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service will be testing their emergency response procedures with actors playing the roles of patients.
Dorothy Hosein, the hospital's chief executive, said: 'Patient safety is our priority and this drill will serve to ensure staff are sufficiently prepared for this type of event occurring in reality.
'Visitors during this period should not to be alarmed if they notice fire engines and fire service personnel around the trust.'
The exercise will begin at 6pm, when the fire alarm will sound intermittently for up to 10 minutes on Oxborough and Marham ward.
