People living and working in central Norfolk are being asked for their views on a new community 'wellbeing hub' for those in mental distress or who are experiencing poor mental health.
The hub will provide friendly and non-judgemental support for anyone who finds they need some help - empowering them to manage their symptoms and prevent more serious issues from developing.
Similar hubs and 'crisis cafes' around the country have helped people return to better mental health and reduced the number of people who have needed specialist mental health treatment.
Now, the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups for Norwich, North Norfolk and South Norfolk have launched an online questionnaire to gather people's feedback and ideas.
It can be found online at: Community Wellbeing Hub - Central Norfolk
The survey closes on January 12.
Dr Tony Palframan from NHS South Norfolk CCG said: 'We believe that - just as we do with physical health - people should be helped earlier and closer to home, and that they are empowered to resolve or stabilise their mental health issues before they escalate into a crisis and remain safe and well at home.'
