A Norfolk hospital has been named as one of the top hospitals for 2018 by a provider of healthcare intelligence.

The award was given to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) NHS Foundation Trust, King's Lynn, by healthcare improvement specialists CHKS.

Jon Green, chief executive of the QEH NHSFT, collected the CHKS Top Hospital award at a ceremony in London.

The award is considered by the analysis of data from all hospital trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This includes safety, efficiently and quality of care.

Mr Green said: 'I was delighted to accept the award on behalf of the trust.

'The award underlines that the trust offers high quality services, delivered by hard-working, caring and knowledgeable staff.

'On behalf of the trust, I would like to congratulate every team QEH member for the award and thank them all for their unstinting efforts.'
