A Norfolk flower and garden club has presented a cheque for £3,000 to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
Breckland Flower and Garden Club has chosen the hospital's breast cancer department as its charity for the year and kick-started the fundraising with an afternoon tea and flower arranging demonstration on Saturday, May 5.
The club came up with the idea for the special day following the breast cancer diagnosis of a number of its members.
NNUH fundraising coordinator Lynn Crombie said: 'It was fantastic to meet everyone who worked so hard to put on this event as well as everyone who came along to support the cause.
'We are so grateful to receive the cheque for £3,000 on behalf of our breast cancer department, which is part of the hospital charity, and delighted that Breckland Flower and Garden Club have chosen this area as their charity of the year.'
