Emergency services were called to the industrial estate next to Norwich International Airport amid fears of a chemical spill.

Firefighters, police and ambulances were called to the incident at Hurricane Way, at the junction with Javelin Road just after 2pm.

Initial reports suggested that a hazardous substance had been spilled and Hurricane Way was briefly closed while firefighters investigated. Fire crews from Earlham, Carrow and the environmental protection unit from Sprowston were involved and quickly contained the chemical, handing it over to the police to deal with.
