A new hand car wash could be build at a seaside supermarket.
Waves Consultancy has applied to use part of the car park at Tesco, in Hunstanton, for the business.
In a planning statement, it says: 'Waves believes that the introduction of the car wash will create new and sustainable economic growth in the area. It will have a positive impact on local employment creating an estimated four full-time and four part-time jobs. The car wash will also provide increased consumer choice with the addition of the service.'
Waves says equipment used on site will not create a noise nuisance for people living nearby. It adds: 'The car wash operation will be environmentally friendly. A water-recycling unit will be provided within the office, recycling oil free wash-water and saving up to 85pc of fresh water.'
West Norfolk councillors are expected to decide the application in the New Year.
