Earlier, an armed response unit and special negotiators from Norfolk Police were involved in a five-hour stand-off with a gunman threatening to kill himself.
Armed officers were sent to Recorder Road, Norwich, after reports of a man in a house with a handgun on Tuesday. The siege ended when two armed officers in body armour entered the house with police dogs and arrested a man early on Wednesday morning.
Recorder Road and St Faiths Lane were both cordoned off for five hours.
