The coastguard service was called after a group of adults was cut off by the sea at Brancaster.
Officers at the Humber control centre received the emergency call at around 5.30pm yesterday and a local team attended.
The group did not need to be rescued, as the coastguard team advised when the tides were safe for them to walk back to land.
Officers also issued safety advice, and warned people to always watch out for the tides.
