A volunteer group promoting environmental projects and sustainability are encouraging town residents to do their bit to keep things clean.

Greening Wymondham is organising a litter pick as part of the annual South Norfolk Big Litter Pick on April 21 from 10am to 1pm.

All ages are welcome to come to Wymondham Town Football Club clubhouse, Kings Head Meadow to help the effort, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Litter picking equipment and bags will be supplied but participants should bring their own gloves.

A group spokesman said: 'We now have the dubious title of being one of the dirtiest countries in the developed world.
