A 29 YEAR old man is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court today, Monday, August 6, charged with possession of an offensive weapon - a rock in a sock.
Gavin Brown, of St Nicholas Road, was arrested after police were called to Manby Road in the town following reports of an altercation on July 21.
Officers recovered a sock with a rock inside.
He was taken into custody, interviewed and charged and is due in court this morning.
