While it remains a popular seaside resort, it wasn't the ideal weather to go for a dip in the sea.

Nevertheless, the community of Mundesley turned out for today's Boxing Day dip to raise money for the village's inshore lifeboat.

More than 200 dippers braved near freezing temperatures for the annual fundraiser as a crowd numbering around 1000 spectators cheered them on.

Together they helped raise over £500 each for Mundesley Brownies and Mundesley Church rooms.

Thanking everyone for their support, Wendy Copping, chairman of the Friends committee of Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat, said: 'We've had a fabulous turn out again this year.

'Our bucket collections raised £1066.10 and will be split between two local charities - Mundesley Brownies and Mundesley Church rooms - thanks to the generosity of those who came to watch.'
