Families are being invited to get in the pedal power mood by attending a free cycling event in Gorleston at the weekend.

Gorleston in Gear will be held on the town's Lower Esplanade on Sunday between 10am and 3pm and will celebrate all things cycling.

There will be a family discovery trail where people can go at their own pace and find the clues and answer the questions along the route through the town.

Participants who finish will be given a goody bag.

Trail maps are available to pick up at the Active Norfolk tent at the event.

Families can also enjoy BMX bike displays and coaching sessions and lots of pedal powered fun including paint spinning, balloon blowing, can crushing, smoothie bikes and obstacle courses.

The event has been organised by Pushing Ahead, which is designed to promote cycling in Great Yarmouth and Norwich.
