An exceptionally rare original Goon Show script signed by Peter Sellers has surfaced at an auction in Norwich, via the South of France.
The script is from the final Goon Show which was televised in 1968 at Teddington Studios in west London. Peter Sellers signed the script and gave it to a member of the vendor's family who was at that time production manager at ABC-TV.
Gary Barnes, of Barnes Auctioneers, said: 'This is a rare item and of particular interest because not only has Sellers signed the script, he has also made notes and alterations throughout. You really get a sense of the brilliance of the man.' The script, which goes on sale at St Andrew's Hall in Norwich on Friday, January 27 is expected to fetch between 400 and 600.For more information visit www.barnesauctioneers.co.uk or call 01603 304337.
