A 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Southwold's High Street at about 9.50pm on Monday by a scrawny looking man who was among a group of six males who laughed and wolf whistled at her.
Her attacker was about 5ft 6in, with a slim build and dark brown spiky hair and had a scrawny face.
He was wearing a light coloured long sleeved shirt and black trousers.
After the sexual assault the offender and the group of males ran off towards the seafront.
Police say the girl was left extremely shaken by the sexual assault and had suffered some brief pain. Officers are still making enquiries into Monday's sexual assault.
