A 15-year-old girl was shoved against a van and touched inappropriately in a Gorleston assault.

The victim was walking on St Andrews Road at around 7.25pm on Wednesday, January 4 when she was approached by a man.

He pushed her against a van and touched her inappropriately.

She shouted for help and he ran off towards Church Road when a vehicle approached.

The man is described as white, 16 or 17 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with a black snood and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the sides.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed this assault or anyone with any information about this incident.

They particularly want to trace the occupants of the vehicle which approached.

Additional patrols are being carried out in this area.
