Ghostly goings-on are expected at a 'paranormal investigation' being staged by Bressingham Drama Group at the village hall next month.

The audience will be invited to imagine they are taking part in a real investigation – conducted by a member of the 'Norwich Psychical Society' – looking for the ghost of Elizabeth Blather.

Writer and director Jon Young, of Common Road, Bressingham, says the action takes place on stage, but with two outside broadcasts to the hall, and is made all the more realistic thanks to technical illusions created by his brother and technical director Nick, from Look East.

'I have been with the drama group for 12 years now and this is the first time I have written something. It is a bit unusual on a small stage. It is two weeks after the panto and we are looking to scare people,' he said.

All profits from the show – which takes place on March 8-10 and 15-17 at 7.30pm – are going to the Combat Stress and Help for Heroes charities.

Tickets are available from the village shop or on the door at Bressingham Village Hall, priced at 6 per person.

The event is not suitable for under 12s according to the organisers.
