Families are invited to a Wild West-themed fun day at Lilac Lodge care home, in Oulton Broad, later this month.

The event in the large garden of the home's Lavender Cottage annexe, on Saturday, July 15 from 2pm to 4.30pm, will include a range of games for children. Staff and residents will be entering into the spirit of the day by dressing up in Wild West costume and there will be prizes for the best children's costumes.

There will be a bouncy castle, face painting and balloon modelling from the Tricky Twister.

A barbecue and a cake and refreshments stall will be available while musician Gwynn Pritchard will entertain visitors.

Proceeds from the day will go to Help for Heroes and the Waveney Family Carers and Friends Circle.

Zena Stotter, manager of the Kingsley Healthcare home, said: 'Our garden is perfect for this kind of event and our residents always look forward to welcoming in the local community.'
