A warning has been made by police after a paper lantern caused a fire in a Norfolk forest.
Officers are reminding people to be cautious when using Chinese lanterns following an incident in Waveney Forest, Fritton, on Tuesday July 12.
PCSO Laura Allen of Southern Villages Safer Neighbourhood team said: 'I would urge anyone using the lanterns to be mindful of their surroundings and only launch the lanterns in a clear space away from trees, power lines and buildings.
'By everyone doing their bit to ensure the lanterns are used correctly, we can help prevent these types of incidents from reoccurring.'
