A former engineer from RAF Marham died on Flight MH17, it has emerged.
Stephen Anderson was among 10 Britons on board the jet, which was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew when it shot down by a missile over Ukraine on Thursday afternoon.
Russian separatists have been blamed for the attack. The Boeing 777 broke up in mid-air, scattering wreckage over miles of remote countryside.
Relatives of Scottish-born Mr Anderson said their first priority was getting his body back from the rebel-held region where the aircraft was brought down.
The 44-year-old was reported to have been flying to his home in Penang, Malaysia, where he worked in the oil industry and lived with his wife Joanna.
Mr Anderson previously worked as an engineer on the Tornado fleet at RAF Marham and as a search and rescue co-ordinator at RAF Lossiemouth.
Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has offered his condolences to his family.
