Inbound flights to Stansted have been diverted this evening after emergency repair work had to be carried out on holes in the runway, according to reports.
It comes only hours after the airport had to be evacuated when a security alert was triggered.
Flights are now being allowed to land from around 10pm after a number had been diverted to Luton or Birmingham.
