A group of people from Great Yarmouth have appeared in court charged with causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
David Gilliver, 20, of Ordnance Road; Ben Gilliver, 23, and Andrew Ellis both of Nelson Road South and David Hills, 39, and Jeanette Gilliver, 43, both c/o Albion Road appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court today (Friday).
Magistrates heard the charges, brought by the RSPCA, relate to four dogs.
The case was adjourned to October 26 to allow defence solicitors to further consult with their clients.
All five were released on unconditional bail.
