Firefighters tackled a small blaze in the roof of a Thorpe St Andrew home.
Crews from Carrow, Earlham and Sprowston and an aerial ladder platform went to the property in Laurel Road just after 7pm tonight.
They had to cut away part of the roof structure to put out the flames and then used a thermal image camera to check for hotspots.
The crew were at the scene until just before 8.30pm. Nobody was hurt in the fire.
