Firefighters have been tackling a large fire on the Broads this morning.

Crews from Wroxham and Acle were called to Ranworth Broad at 11.25am after around 6,000 square metres of reed bed caught light.

It is believed the cause of the blaze was accidental.

A river boat from Carrow was also called into action but was not deployed after the Broads Authority stepped in to transport crews and their gear to the scene.

Firefighters are still on scene damping down.
