Firefighters from Lowestoft have been called out twice in quick succession to tackle gorse blazes on a popular park.
A crew from Lowestoft South were called out at noon today (Sunday), following reports of an area of gorse and grass about 10m by 20m ablaze on Pakefield Park, close to the Walmer Road football ground.
The scene had been cleared by 12.25pm, but then at 12.48pm a crew from south Lowestoft were called to the 'opposite side' of the park after an area of gorse about 10m by 10m was ablaze.
The flames were quickly put out and the scene cleared by 1.15pm.
