Motorists have reported smoke blowing across the A47 near King's Lynn while the firefighters deal with a commercial building on fire.

It is believed wind blew an outdoor fire, which managed to catch the sides of a storage warehouse at the back of the site.

A fire officer at the scene said: 'It would appear that burning rubbish was caught by a back wind ended up catching a nearby commercial building,

'The side of the building has blistered in the heat. Our focus was to make sure that didn't catch and the fire spread to the rest of the building.'

Emergency services were called to the Eastern Country Foods factory in Smeeth Road at around 5.30pm to reports of the fire.
