Firefighters spent the night battling a burning thatched roof in Blofield.
Crews were called at 10.40pm to the blaze at Perownes farm on Bullacebush Lane on the outskirts of the village.
The roof of the house was completely destroyed.
Engines from Carrow, Sprowston, Acle, Wroxham and Great Yarmouth along with the aerial ladder platform with support from Earlham, Wymondham, Dereham and Hethersett were all called.
The red cross fire emergency support unit also attended.
