Firefighters called out to Rickinghall chimney fire

Firefighters were called out to Rickinghall, near Diss last night to tackle a chimney fire.

The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident shortly after 7.15pm after the chimney at a house in Church Meadow caught fire.

A fire crew from Ixworth used chimney rods and specialist equipment to extinguish the fire by 8.25pm.
