Firefighters attend false alarm at Wymondham High School

A Norfolk high school was evacuated this afternoon following reports of a fire in the school grounds.

Firefighters were called to Wymondham High School just after 3pm following reports of a blaze in a storage cupboard.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Wymondham attended the Norwich Road site, but the report turned out to be a false alarm.

The school premises was evacuated as a result of the incident at the academy and firefighters were on scene for around 20 minutes.
