Large field fire in Norfolk village

Firefighters are currently at the scene of a 'large field fire' in Dersingham, on the edge of the Royal Estate.

According to Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's live incident feed, firefighters were called out at around 11.15am but add it is currently an 'ongoing incident'.

But Tim Edwards, King's Lynn fire station manager, has tweeted: 'Large field fire in Dersingham, keep clear so we can fight it.'

It comes a year after a large fire at Dersingham Heath last year.

Flames tore across the tinder-dry heath after undergrowth caught light and firefighters from across Norfolk had to spread out across the heath with hoses and hand extinguishers.
