A man making threats to harm himself with a firearm in a Caister bookmakers was arrested after being tasered by police this morning.
Police were called to the scene on the High Street, with firearms officers called as well as units from the dog section and trained negotiators.
A Norfolk Constabulary spokesman said: 'The man was tasered to effect a safe and secure arrest and he was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and threats to a police officer.'
The 27 year old was taken to custody and will be questioned as enquiries continue. Witnesses should contact Det Sgt Chris Burgess at Great Yarmouth CID on 101.
