The main A10 road in west Norfolk is closed tonight as fire crews tackle a major blaze in a semi-detached bungalow.

The fire started just before 9pm in the dormer-style structure on the Main Road at West Winch.

As more fire engines were called to the building, which was reported to be well alight, police officers closed the main road to traffic.

At the height of the fire, two fire crews from King's Lynn and appliances from Terrington St Clement and Downham Market fought the fire along with the brigade's aerial ladder platform.

Fire fighters are battling to stop the blaze spreading to the adjoining semi-detached bungalow.
