Fire in a light fitting tackled in Lowestoft

Firefighters from Lowestoft quickly dealt with a minor blaze at a property in the town.

Two crews from Lowestoft South fire station were called out following reports of a building fire in London Road South, near Pier Terrace, yesterday (Sunday).

A brigade spokesman said that the crews were called out at 1.47pm and they used an extinguisher to put out the fire in a light fitting, with the scene cleared by 2.06pm.
