A fire engine was involved in a crash with a car this morning near the Asda supermarket in Hellesdon.

Police were called to the scene at 7.45am following the crash between the fire truck and a Ford Fiesta at the junction between Drayton High Road and Boundary Road.

The East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew and an ambulance officer who assessed a number of people at the scene. None required hospital treatment and were all discharged at the scene.

A spokesman for Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service confirmed they will be conducting their own investigation into the incident.
