A thick pall of smoke was seen rising over Costessey.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue teams from Earlham and Carrow stations were called to tackle a blaze at a site off Long Lane, next to the Costessey Park and Ride, this afternoon (Friday, October 20).
A spokesman said the crews arrived to find an amount of rubbish on fire at the site, which took them about 30 minutes to extinguish.
The spokesman said: “Appliances from Earlham and Carrow attended a rubbish fire at Long Lane that was extinguished using hose reel jets.
“They were at the scene from 3.08pm to 3.38pm.”
