Fire brigade called to roof fire in Lowestoft

Three people were treated for smoke inhalation after fire ripped through a roof in Carlton Colville this morning.
A fire engine from Great Yarmouth with an aerial ladder platform helped Suffolk Fire and Rescue deal with the blaze at a house in Paddock Wood Close just before 11am.
Crews arrived at the scene to find a semi-detached house with the roof well alight. The fire was also inside the roof space.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire using one hose reel.
An ambulance attended to treat the three occupants suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire was extinguished by 11.48am.
