Firefighters battled for more than an hour tonight to stop a blaze spreading to a neighbouring timber yard on the outskirts of King's Lynn.
The fire involved about 100 tonnes of waste wood next to Fleet Timber Supplies in Poplar Avenue, Saddlebow.
A spokeswoman for the fire service, which received a call at 6.49pm, said it was close to several hundred tonnes of wood and woodchip.
Crews from King's Lynn, Terrington, Fakenham and Hethersett were sent to the scene along with two water carriers.
