Walks are being booked up for a three week festival, which gets walkers of all abilities out and about exploring Suffolk.

With 2017 marking the Suffolk Walking Festival's 10th anniversary, the festival launches at Sutton Hoo next Saturday, May 13.

And with more than 100 walks on offer throughout the festival, many walks incorporate other activities and opportunities to learn new skills.

For those wanting to try Nordic Walking, come along to the Introduction to Nordic Walking at Carlton Marshes in Lowestoft on Saturday, May 20. After a 30-minute introduction to the walking variation with poles provided, the walk takes in the scenery of Oulton Broad and journeys through Nicholas Everitt Park before returning to the nature reserve. This three to four mile walk is suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness.
