Police are trying to identify the victim of a fatal crash today at Tuffen Lane, Hinderclay.
The single-vehicle accident, in the village, near Diss, happened at about 11.15am. It was reported that a car had collided with a telephone pole and was on fire.
The fire service was alerted and put out the blaze. A body was subsequently found in the car which Suffolk police are in the process of identifying. Tuffen Lane was closed to traffic following the collision. A police spokeswoman said they could not give out any further details at this stage.
Investigating officers are appealing for information, and would like to hear from anyone who was using Tuffen Lane this morning.
