A library has altered its opening hours following consultation with 100 users.
Eye Library will remain open for the same number of hours each week, but will open and close at different times on some days from April 1.
The library will stay closed on Monday, and open from 10am-3pm on Sunday, but will open 30 minutes earlier on Tuesday, from 9am-1pm; open 30 mins earlier and close 30 mins later on Wednesday, from 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm; close 30 minutes earlier on Thursday, from 2pm-5pm; open 30 mins earlier and close two hours earlier on Friday, from 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm; and open 30 mins earlier on Saturday, from 9am-1pm.
Manager Julie Shepherd said: 'Many items are returned via the library dropbox before the current opening times, so we
hope moving the hours from our Friday evening session, when the
library is a bit quieter,
to earlier morning opening will result in a more accessible and popular service for our users.'
