A well-known Attleborough garden designer has unveiled a special garden paying tribute to Princess Diana.
Richard Beales, son of the late world-renowned rose grower Peter Beales, opened the garden on June 30, the eve of the late Princess of Wales' birthday, at Capel Manor in Enfield.
It is just one of two formally approved gardens in England that honour the Princess.
Earl Spencer, members of Diana's family and sponsor Kate Bartlett cut the ribbon, marking the end of six months work by Mr Beales.
He said: 'It has been the greatest privilege to be invited to design such a special garden.
'I hope visitors will enjoy seeing and interpreting it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.'
Structures in the garden, which has 31 varieties of rose, to support the roses were also designed by Mr Beales and manufactured in Germany, while 90pc of the roses are perfumed.
'I like to think that this is a garden for everyone,' Mr Beales said. 'One that reaches out and delights all visitors.'
