An energy sector supply chain firm has won a multi-million dollar contract for work in Asia.

Proserv, which has two facilities in Great Yarmouth, has agreed a deal with Premier Oil to supply a subsea control system and associated equipment for its BIGP development project in the Natuna Sea, Indonesia.

Delivery for the first phase of equipment is scheduled for May next year.

Work for the project will be carried out at Proserv facilities around the world. The company has previously worked with Premier Oil in Vietnam and will build on its base of subsea control systems from that project.

Mathieu Al Kharfan, region president for Far East & Australia, said: 'Proserv has already worked with Premier Oil on several projects and the award of this contract is testament to the strength of our relationship and their trust in our ability to deliver robust technology solutions and services on time and to the highest standards.'
